AGRIIP (Agri-Innovation & Impact Project) is an ambitious, African-led initiative dedicated to building sustainable, inclusive, and resilient agri-businesses. Through entrepreneurship training, technical support, and ecosystem partnerships, we empower scientists and farmers to co-create solutions that transform food systems across the continent.
We are seeking an Innovation Associate to join our Fellowship & Innovation Team. This role sits at the intersection of technology, learning, and enterprise support, ensuring our staff, fellows, and partners have access to the most relevant, impactful, and context-appropriate digital tools.
Role Summary
The Innovation Associate will support AGRIIP’s innovation pipeline by scanning markets for emerging technologies, identifying digital skills gaps, and helping deploy tools that strengthen our training programmes and entrepreneurship support.
This is a high-impact volunteer role for a proactive problem-solver passionate about African innovation ecosystems, digital transformation, and capacity building.
What You’ll Do
- Scan markets for emerging tools and trends in agri-tech, AI, and digital learning
- Identify digital skills needs across staff and fellows
- Test, implement, and support adoption of tech solutions (AI tools, LMS platforms, CRMs, data dashboards, etc.)
- Develop simple user guides, run short trainings, and provide hands-on support
- Strengthen AGRIIP’s entrepreneurship training through relevant digital innovation
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years’ experience in innovation, digital transformation, technology adoption, or enterprise/tech support
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Confidence experimenting with new tools and helping others use them
- Ability to volunteer for a minimum of three months with professionalism and diligence
- Experience in African agri-innovation or entrepreneurship ecosystems is an advantage
