Roots of Resilience

Roots of Resilience is the cultural anchor of AGRIIP. It grounds our work in African values, heritage, and identity, reminding us that agriculture is more than food; it is culture, memory, and flourishing. Through Roots of Resilience, AGRIIP connects farmers, scientists, artists, and communities in bold, creative ways. The programme is built around three flagship strands

Annual Summits

Vibrant gatherings across Africa where farmers, scientists, policymakers, and artists co-create bold solutions for the continent’s food future.

Storytelling & Fellowships

Empowering creatives and scientists to amplify farmer voices through art, film, exhibitions, and intercultural dialogue.

Oral Histories & Digital Archive

Preserving 10,000+ stories of indigenous crops and farming wisdom in a living archive for generations to learn from and build upon.

JR Biotek Art Gallery

The JR Biotek Art Gallery is both a legacy of JR Biotek Foundation and a key strand of AGRIIP’s Roots of Resilience programme. It is a creative hub where African agriculture and art meet to inspire resilience, innovation, and cultural pride. Through exhibitions, education, and partnerships, the Gallery showcases Africa’s agricultural heritage and reimagines indigenous crops as symbols of culture and flourishing.
